hbo's luck cancelled

“Accordingly, we have reached this difficult decision” ???? What difficult decision?  To cancel a show after 3 horses (which your show is about, race horses) die?  Or do you mean “difficult decision” because of the sheer grief of having to euthanize an animal?   I wonder… I wonder what the HBO execs mean by “difficutl decision”  hmmm….. Dailymail:

The HBO drama series Luck has been cancelled by network brass after a third thoroughbred died during production of the show, which stars Dustin Hoffman and Nick Nolte.

The decision came after the horse was injured and euthanized Tuesday.

A humane group that oversees Hollywood productions had issued an immediate demand ‘that all production involving horses shut down.’

HBO said: ‘While we maintained the highest safety standards possible, accidents unfortunately happen and it is impossible to guarantee they won’t in the future’.

‘Accordingly, we have reached this difficult decision.”
